Safely in Vermont

Erika missing her Toddy so she is hugging her Toddy Bear:
To help pass the time at Eppley:
Walking thru the terminal in Detroit:Oh dear, what pray tell is this thing?:
I will smell it and see if I can figure it out:
Poor Lynlee, she so tired:

We did make it safely to Vermont with just a short delay. Checked into our hotel and then went to eat at Friendly's. Sort of like Culver's back home. The special for the day, the board said: 'Try our one of our new melts and get a free Happy Ending Sundae'. No kidding, that is what it said and I will leave it at that. After eating, we sadly were too full for one of those special sundaes.

The Parker Hanson's made it to Burlington so we met up for dinner at Bove's. I had seen Bobby Flay and his show do a showdown with this restaurant for their lasagne. Very small place but the smells were amazing. The waiter tells us that if we wanted the lasagne, they did have some left, as usually, they only serve it on Wednesdays, but only regular customers know this. Skip and I shared it and wow, it truly was amazing. The best lasagne I have ever had. They create their own sauce which is both gluten and sugar free; it was delicious.

After trying to upload my pictures on my blog last night and it being so slow, I decided to stop trying and go to bed, which was around 7:00pm. I was tired, needless to say and so was the rest of my gang.

We all had a great night's sleep and had breakfast at a nearby bakery. Every little restaurant is so quaint. After checking out of the hotel, we all went to see Kung Fu Panda, very cute movie. Then off to Hanaford's, the grocery store we love, and we loaded up the cart with groceries for the week. Now imagine a Dodge Caravan loaded with 2 adults and 4 kids, 7 pieces of luggage and a huge golf carrier then we had to fit in all the groceries...we did it though! Luckily the van had the sto and go units that helped a lot with loading up the groceries.

We made it to our condo, unpacked, and chilled out...now that's a vacation! The kids of course just headed down to Ben and Jerry's for ice cream! Wouldn't be a Smugg's vacation without Ben and Jerry's almost every night!
